Things to do and see in Skagen

With two departments located in the centre af town and by the harbour, Skagen CykelUdlejning is the perfect starting point to go exploring in the area. It is about 3 kilometers (less than two miles) to Grenen or to Gl. Skagen or the Church buried in sand. You can easily get to all of these and round town as well in a day, with good "refuelling breaks" along the way.
Another good day trip (with a picnic) is about 15 kilometers (8½ miles) each way to Råbjerg Mile and back. Riding along the Hulsig track through beautiful heathland, you come through Hulsig and on via Kandestederne to Råbjerg Mile. On the way there are miles of fine beaches for bathing, so you can enjoy a refreshing swim too.
A 25 kilometer ride each way (15 miles) to the eagle reserve (Ørnereservatet) brings you close to white-tailed eagles and golden eagles, or you can see a thrilling demonstration of falcons in the flight.
On these trips you are quaranteed a wonderful experience.
Alternatively, you can simply potter around in Skagen. See the museums and the quiet streets in Østerby, Vesterby and Kappelborg with that delightful atmosphere that motorists miss out completely. Or what about bowling round the harbour, enjoyingsom fresh fish og newly-shelled shrimps, a glass af wine or a cold beer?
